COASTAL access campaigners have requested the support of Skegness Town Council in their attempts to secure funding through a national competition.
Founding member of Coastal Access For All, Paul Marshall, made the request to councillors in the public session of Wednesday’s Skegness Town Council.
He said: “I’m here to make an appeal for my project, Coastal Access For All.
“This last couple of years we’ve been involved with trying to keep the coastal pathways clear so that users of scooters and wheelchairs can get access to it. We are involved with a project from Natwest Bank that could provide us with £6,000.”
“We need this money because we want to be able to use special equipment to move the sand.
“We also want to establish a scheme to get some seating along the coast and get some benches.”
Community projects that receive the most public votes in Natwest’s Community Force project can receive up to £6,000.
