Spilsby marked the 70th anniversary VE Day with a parade of standards and service at St James Church last Sunday.
Members of the Spilsby and District Branch of the Royal British Legion joined Mayor Peter Grant and worshippers for the commemoration.
Standard bearer Michael Lenton presented the standard which was placed on the altar and Canon Peter Coates gave an address about the significance of VE Day.
Refreshments were provided following the service from a donation provided by the town council.
Royal British Legion branch president Ron Worth said: “The service was done very well and the weather shone for us and looked after the old soldiers.”
