Skegness-born rock singer Graham Bonnet has returned to the music scene on a new album, single and animated music video – produced virtually through the internet and social media.
The former Marbles and Rainbow star has collaborated on the single, Come to Call, by Natasha Lea Jones - which is the result of an online collaboration with international talent from Egypt, Italy and the US.
The single, from Natasha’s new album Soar, features Graham, who is based in Hollywood, and guitar player Ricardo Costa, son of Alberto Costa of the Darwen based band The Beethovens.
Natasha received critical acclaim for her writing talents, working with big names including Orbital, Everything But the Girl, The Levellers and Divine Comedy.
The pioneering, animated music video was written and directed by up and coming Egyptian film-maker, Alzamkhshary Awad who is hoping that his work will reach a global audience.
The project, which has taken four years to come to fruition, has been a labour of love for Natasha, who wanted to produce something completely unique.
She said: “I have worked in the music industry for a long time but I have never embarked on such an exciting project before. The internet and social media channels, such as Facebook, have made it possible for me to work independently with some very talented people around the world - that would have not been possible 10 years ago.
“I made the initial approaches via Facebook and eventually met people in person. Once everything was agreed all of the work was done virtually, talking on Skype and sending files via the internet. I’m so excited to see it all come together at long last. Now that the hard work is done I hope that people across the world will watch, listen and enjoy.”
