Skegness police inspector pledges commitment to family safety

Skeness’s most senior police officer has pledged to do ‘everything he can’ to promote the town as a safe place to live and to visit.

Inspector Andrew Morrice, who recently replaced inspector Terry Ball in the role leading Lincolnshire Police’s East Division announced his intention to Skegness Town Council at its latest meeting on Wednesday.

He said: “My mission for the coastal strip is to do absolutely everything I can to promote the area as a family friendly place where you can bring your children up safely and where you can come on holiday and it’s a safe place to be.”

Inspector Morrice said he has spent all of his 18 years’ service in frontline positions within the county in ‘full contact with the public’.
