Four Lincolnshire Police social media accounts have been recognised in the 2014 Police End Of Year Twitter Awards.
Votes from the public resulted in PCSO Dave Bunker (@PCSO_Bunker), from Skegness, winning the Best Police Informative Account category and Spalding Community Inspector Jim Tyner (@spaldingtyner) scooping Best Tweeting Individual Officer.
They were joined in success by Lincs Specials (@LincsSpecials), who won the Best Tweeting Special Constable category and the dog school (@LincsPoliceK999), who won Best Tweeting Police Dogs.
Inspector Tyner said: “We may be a rural county but we can still use modern ways to reach the people we look after. The feedback I receive from the public is overwhelmingly positive and it is good to see more and more departments in the Force embracing Twitter and recognising what an effective engagement opportunity it offers.”
