Skegness Ladies’ Probus enjoys talk

The Revd Canon Alan Robson was speaker at the Skegness Ladies Probus Club’s January luncheon.

He has been the agricultural chaplain for some 4,000 farmers in the county for 12 years and his ministry expands from the Yarborough estate in the north to the southern fens.

He visits farming families advising them how to best ensure business success and he offers mediation, advocacy and tax advice. He also discussed his work with government committees on food production, climate change impacts on harvests and more.

He received a vote of thanks from Sandie Shaw. The next meeting is February 28. David Letts will discuss the ‘origin of surnames’.
