Pedal power has seen three members of staff at Roman Bank Bingo, in Skegness, raise more than £250 for disadvantaged children.
Manager Jason Beauchamp-Hughes, Lesley Crane, and Jane Elliott, completed an exercise bike challenge in support of Variety, The Children’s Charity, on Thursday evening.
It saw the trio cycle as a team for just under two hours from 7.30pm, covering a total of 52 miles. Two exercise bikes were set up at the bingo hall for them to ride in relay.
On the night, they raised £116 for their chosen cause, which when added to their individual sponsorships took their fundraising total to £278.
Variety was one of the UK’s first charities to be founded especially for children and young people.
It works to improve young lives by providing practical help (such as Sunshine Coaches, wheelchairs and specialist equipment) and memorable childhood experiences.
