Lincolnshire singer and songwriter, Abi Moore will be treating her local fans to a rare performance back in her home town of Spilsby.

Abi has previously opened shows for the likes of 10CC, Midge Ure, Big Country, Hazel O’Connor and LAU.

‘Amoeba & Stone,’ Abi’s third album, was released in February and she is currently on tour across the UK.

She has a loyal following across the East Midlands, but hasn’t played live at Spilsby Theatre for a decade.

“I cut my teeth on the Spilsby Theatre stage when I was a kid; I was in the youth amateur dramatics group there, and I chose to perform my very first concert as a singer/songwriter there when I left school. I thought it was time to come back as I’m on my third album now, and the last time I played in Spilsby, I hadn’t even recorded my first,” said Abi.

In 2009, national coffee company Caffe Nero invited Abi to be their Artist of the Month and played Abi’s albums in all of their UK stores for a y.

Abi, who grew up in East Keal and is a former Skegness Grammar School pupil is well known in the county for her community work as a vocal teacher; directing local choirs and running singing workshops around Lincolnshire.

Abi said: “I’m so proud of the new album. I recorded it with a producer and session musicians in Suffolk this time, and the sound is so much more mature, fresh and exciting.”

She added: “My writing is better, my playing is better and we’ve successfully managed to marry my two favourite eras of music; the 70s and the 90s, into the sound, without losing my pop/rock roots, we’ve added in a twist of Americana, alt- country and a little bit of grit along the way.”

Abi Moore (with support from Elliott Morris) appears at Spilsby Theatre for one night only on Saturday, May 24.

Tickets can be purchased at or from the box office by calling 01790 752936.

Doors open at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £8 and £7 for concessions.
