A sponsored silence by a young Skegness “chatterbox” has raised £127 for Lincs Ark animal charity.
Tamzin Platt, aged nine, asked friends and family to sponsor her to keep “schtum” for a whole hour.
Tamzin’s mum Vicky said: “I never thought she could do it as she’s a real chatterbox. It was her idea and I am very proud of her.”
A spokesman for Lincs Ark said: “We want to say a huge thank you Tamzin. The money will really help our animals.
“As a charity, we rely on donations and Tamzin’s will help the animals in our care.”
Lincs Ark operates in the south Lincolnshire area, rescuing and rehoming cats, kittens and other small animals.
It is volunteer-run and entirely self-funded, raising money via appeals and fundraising events.
