A senior conductor at Skegness Railway Station has been rewarded for outstanding customer service.
Alison Payne received the accolade at East Midlands Trains seventh annual awards night.
Less than 12 months into her role as Senior Conductor, she is already making a huge difference across East Midlands Trains; taking positive steps to ensure safety and security remains the highest priority. Customers praised her for her outstanding levels of service.
The awards recognise the many achievements of its 2100 employees. This year, the train operator received over 300 nominations spanning 11 categories, alongside hundreds of nominations from customers for the Customer’s Choice Award.
East Midlands Trains has successfully delivered a number of significant projects for customers over the past 12 months, including the £200million Derby Resignalling Scheme alongside Network Rail, and a major timetable change. Its employees have also had to deal with some major challengers, such as the large station fire at Nottingham in January.
