A TALENTED young star could be in with a chance of appearing in a fantastic new pantomime set for later this year.

The winner will be cast as Fairy Fortune in this year’s premier professional panto – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs set to showcase at The Embassy Theatre, Skegness in December.

Applicants will go through audition rounds with songs of their choosing, and will narrowed down to a final which will be held at the Embassy and supported by Lincs Fm and The Hildreds Shopping Centre.

The Find Our Star contest is aimed at applicants who were born or live in Lincolnshire.

Jamie Marcus, Producer and Managing Director, said: “Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor are very popular at the moment and in essence I wanted to give a female from Lincolnshire the opportunity to perform in a professional panto. It is not everyday these opportunities come up.

“Last year’s winner has done very well and it has helped launch her career.”

Special guest judges will narrow the finalists down further, until show bosses find their star.

The winner of Lincolnshire’s biggest talent search will win a contract and sign on the dotted line to become Fairy Fortune.

Last year’s winner, Rochelle Ayris, and lead in Dick Whittington and his Cunningly Clever Cat at Lincoln Drill Hall explains how she felt, “Winning Find Our Star was an amazing feeling I won’t ever forget.

“I gained an agent thanks to the competition and I haven’t stopped working. I’m so thankful I took part.”

Applicants must be 18 or over and female applicants may only apply for the part of Fairy Fortune.

Applicants must be living or born in Lincolnshire and individuals must be available between December 3 - 31.
