SPILSBY residents hoping to take an active role in their local community are invited to fill a vacant town council seat.
Following a former councillor’s recent resignation, interested replacements are asked to apply in writing to the town clerk Sara Marshall at the Franklin Hall, Spilsby, by Friday, May 4.
Candidates will then be interviewed before the successful applicant is co-opted onto Spilsby Town Council, hopefully in time for its June meeting. Mayor of Spilsby Coun Michael Lenton has urged committed residents to put themselves forward for the role.
He said: “I think councillors should be very pro-active with a dedicated interest in improving the lot for all of Spilsby’s residents.”
