A NEW councillor has been appointed to Spilsby Town Council, returning it to full capacity.
Geraldine Willis has been co-opted onto the town council following a successful interview conducted by existing councillors on Monday.
Coun Willis said: “I’ve attended many council meetings as a member of the public and I’ve always wanted to be a councillor so this seemed like the right time to apply.
“In my new role as councillor I would like to promote the town to a wider audience as a really nice place to visit and to live.”
Geraldine has been a Spilsby resident for the past seven years during which time she has been the secretary for the WI and Spilsby Business Partnership.
Mayor of Spilsby Coun Michael Lenton believes Coun Willis will be a great asset to the council.
