PARKING enforcement tickets issued in Spilsby town centre have significantly reduced traffic violations since its introduction as a neighbourhood policing priority.
An emergency services report at Spilsby Town Council’s meeting at the Franklin Hall on Thursday identified that the number of tickets issued is now ‘next to none’.
Mayor of Spilsby Coun David Pleming also commented on the noticeable improvement,
“Parking is much easier on High Street and that’s how it should be,” he said.
However speeding offences are still a concern to councillors and police officers.
Three arrests for speeding had been made in the last month following the introduction of speed guns.
Coun Gill Rhymer described the behaviour of some of the drivers along Boston Road as though they were racing at Brands Hatch.
