Rave legends SL2 are coming to Skegness.

Hardcore dance fans can be cast back to the nineties, embrace the get-up and break out the glow sticks during an old skool rave extravaganza.

One of the biggest original rave names, SL2, famous for their 1992 club classic On a Ragga Tip, will be performing at The Suncastle pub, North Parade, next Friday (July 5).

Hosted by Wainfleet based Razor Sharp Music Management, SL2, aka DJs Slipmatt & Lime aka Matt Nelson & John Fernandez, will be spinning tunes from the heyday of dance music.

And one lucky fan who manages to transform themselves into the most authentic original nineties raver could win the chance to get up on stage during one of their biggest hits.

“One of you dedicated ravers will get to dance, on stage, throughout On A Ragga Tip, with SL2,” said Jay Betts of Razor Sharp.

“So raid those lofts, dust off your legwarmers and lets have it!”

The event will be recorded with DJ and raver experiences broadcast for air on radio.

And Slipmatt, who has fond memories of playing Pleasuredome and The Big Reunion over the years, says he is ‘looking forward’ to coming back to Skegness.

“We’ve got a lot going on so it should be a good night,” said Slipmatt, who has spun records at some of the biggest venues around the globe.

“I was up here a few weeks ago playing to 2,000, 3,000 people and it was wicked.

“Anyone interested in hearing some of the music from one of the most magical times should come down even if they were too young, there’s something for everyone, get dressed up.”

Aspiring MCs could also get the chance to play on the same bill as SL2 entering a vocal competition held on the night, which runs from 8pm until 2am.

Anyone interested is asked to get to the venue early and express their interest or talent.

And Razor Sharp Music Management just keep giving - two lucky people will be picked out and given VIP stamps allowing them to sit down an join the SL2 crew for drink.

Wristbands cost £5 in advance or £7 on the door.

Wristbands can be bought from The Suncastle and as e-tickets which will be sent as an email or text here
