No precept rise in Wainfleet All Saints

THERE will be no increase in parish precept for Wainfleet All Saints residents this year.

At its February meeting, the town council decided against increasing the rate for 2011-12.

As in the past, most of the £22,500 raised locally will be spent on cemetery and play area maintenance, plus the insurance premium.

The mayor, Coun Andy Pogson said: “I am pleased we will be able to maintain existing services without increasing our precept.”

Meanwhile, at the March meeting, All Saints councillors will debate whether to install a skateboard ramp (similar to the one in Friskney) in the play area.
