COUNCILLORS spoke enthusiastically about the new outline design for the Skegness Town Council website.
Each were given a handout showing visual interpretations of how the website may look, with ideas of the overall colours, layout and navigation on the site at the Business and Resources Committee last Wednesday.
The council agreed at a meeting on December 7 2010 to progress with the purchase and development of a new website based on an initial specification which was set to be worked on by the town clerk and a task and finish group.
The majority of the councillors said they liked the colours, which at present are blue, green and yellow but said they felt the town’s crest should be incorporated into the page and The Jolly Fisherman should have a presence on the page.
Coun George Saxon, agreed that the Jolly Fisherman should be included and said: “It is the town logo and should have the illustration, not just the word.”
And continued, that without it, the town could loose its identity.
The committee asked for those elements to be looked at in the next stages of design.
