ELECTION: Vote turnout rises for third election in a row

The turnout for the Boston and Skegness constituency has been announced at 64.83 per cent.

This is up 3.73 per cent from last time when turnout was 61.1 percent.

It means 43,481 voters turned out for the 2015 election compared to 43,125 in 2010.

Voter turnout has gone up over the last three elections by 0.5 per cent in 2005, 2.2 per cent in 2010 and 3.73 per cent this year.

In 2001 however, it dropped 10.6 per cent.
