Election candidate announces more meetings

Conservative general election candidate for Boston and Skegness Matt Warman has announced further dates in a constituency-wide public meetings programme.

The additional meetings in the Skegness area are:

Thursday, March 26 Churchills, Algitha Road, Skegness

Thursday, April 16 The Eaves Inn, Main Road, Little Steeping

Dates previously scheduled include:

Thursday, February 26 The Woolpack Hotel, High Street, Wainfleet

Thursday, March 5 The Bell Hotel, High Street, Burgh le Marsh

Mr Warman said: “I pledged to hold at least 12 public meetings across the constituency during the campaign because I believe it’s important to meet as many voters across the constituency as possible and hear their views. This is something that I would continue as Conservative Member of Parliament for Boston and Skegness, to ensure that in Westminster I champion the issues that are important to my constituents.”

Dubbed ‘Pub politics’, the meetings are open forums which have seen issues raised focusing on both local and international concerns. Mr Warman added: “In addition to the many conversations we’re having on the doorsteps during our canvassing sessions every week, where we’ve spoken about everything from local roads and transport to Europe, discussion points at our meetings have ranged from our local NHS services to Isis. No other party is putting out such an extensive network of public consultations across Boston and Skegness. The response has been hugely positive and voters are welcoming the chance to connect and discuss the areas which are important to them.”
