A controversial application to redevelop a site in Burgh le Marsh was approved by East Lindsey planners at a meeting on Thursday.

The decision paves the way for up to 10 two-storey houses and five bungalows, plus garages, being built on land off Wildshed Lane.

The green light came despite objections from the town council and residents who fear pressure on infrastructure and potential traffic hazard at junctions with Wainfleet Road and Linden Drive.

A house known as “Hunters Meadow” and its garage would be demolished to make way for the development.
