The community are still being left to wonder what future may be in store for an historic building in Tower Gardens.
A resident present at the annual meeting of Skegness Town Council asked if the pavilion could be the new home for the registry office. Councillor Steve Kirk said it was ‘awkward to say too much’ at this stage but negotiations were under way and Coun Mayor Mark Anderson admitted there was ‘something afoot’. But Coun Mark Smith raised hopes saying more could be ‘known next week’ (this week). However Kevin Kendall, chief property officer at LCC said: “We’ll be looking at the possibilities around the pavilion with the district council. Things are only in the early stages, and we will be identifying the potential uses for the building over the coming months.”
