A plan for new eight houses to be built in Alford has been turned down.

Cyden Homes Ltd sought permission to redevelop land at 30 Station Road which is currently occupied by a cottage, a partially demolished mill and other outbuildings.

But at an East Lindsey planning meeting, district councillors turned down the proposal because they felt the “siting, layout, density and design” of the proposed development would be out character with the predominantly spacious part of this part of the town.
