A Skegness primary school held a street party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
All the staff and students at The Richmond School had the opportunity to dress in red, white and blue coloured clothes.
During the week, children were taught about our Royal Family and the life of the Queen.
Mrs Caroline Wellsted, headteacher, and Mrs Anne May, school governor, took some time out of a very busy day to remember a very good friend of the school, former Skegness Lifeboat coxwain Mr Ron Chapman. Mr Chapman sadly recently passed away. A painting of the lifeboat was painted for the school by Mr Frank Forster.
* More pictures of the celebrations across the Skegness area are published in tomorrow’s editions of the Skegness Standard and Spilsby Standard
