A pharmacy in Spilsby has been honoured for becoming the first one run by the Co-op to achieve healthy living status.

Spilsby Pharmacy also won the Pharmacy of the Year silver award for the range of services they provide and their relationships with other healthcare teams.

The healthy living pharmacy status is a new NHS initiative and the branch’s Steph Scott said: “It’s great to be recognised for all our hard work we do as a team.

“We are a small but busy branch and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the pharmacy.”

From food store workers to pharmacy teams – hard-working Lincolnshire Co-op colleagues have been honoured for making life better in their communities.

An awards ceremony was held at Lincolnshire Showground last night and brought together hundreds of Lincolnshire Co-op team members from across the Society’s trading area. Lincoln City football manager Danny Cowley was the guest of honour and the event was hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior.

The prestigious Colleague of the Year and Branch of the Year accolades were bestowed on dedicated staff. Employees were also recognised for volunteering work and for completing training.

Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Co-op Ursula Lidbetter said: “When I hear stories of what my colleagues are achieving every day, I am proud and grateful to have these helpful and inspiring people on our team.

“At Lincolnshire Co-op, we want to bring together ideas, energy and resources to make life better in our communities. The colleagues we have honoured are doing just that.”
