A group of talented youngsters from a performing arts school near Skegness have triumphed in a national dance competition.
The troupe from Little Gems Academy, based at Burgh le Marsh, wowed judges at the Encore championship, held recently across three days at Pontins, in Stockport.
The event was open to schools from across the UK and more than 1,000 dancers took to the floor.
Team Impact, from Little Gems Academy, were placed in every category they entered, taking first in the musical theatre category, second in the street dance category, and fourth in lyrical dance.
They also finished the event with the most points overall, earning the school a place at the Nation’s Best Dance Act competition at Glasgow’s Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on August 30.
Principal Gemma Marshall said she was extremely proud.
She added: “They train six nights a week, so they are very dedicated young girls.”
The event also gave the Impact team the chance to take part in workshops run by top industry names, including Madonna choreographer Sisco Gomez.
