Students at Skegness’ Lisa Jay Stage Institute have cause to take a bow after achieving a 100 per cent pass rate in their International Dance Teachers’ Association exams.

Youngsters were successful in more than 150 exams taken in ballet, modern jazz, tap, theatre craft, dance gymnastics, freestyle disco, and street.

Students achieving particular merit were: Mark Storan and Macauley Howitt (ballet Grade 3 and achieved Distinction), Chloe Bray (ballet Grade 4 and achieved Distinction), Phoebe Phillips (ballet Grade 5 and achieved Distinction), Eleanor Ford (modern jazz Grade 1 and achieved Distinction), Loren Allen (modern Grade 1, tap Grade 1 and achieved Distinction), and Olivia Thein (modern jazz Grade 1 and achieved Distinction).

Lisa Jay, principal, said: “The staff and I are delighted with the results and would like to congratulate all students on their achievements. We pride ourselves on offering a high level standard of teaching which allows each student to flourish in their own way.”

Classes begin again in September and any child wishing to join lessons should contact the institute.
