A premature baby born while his parents were on holiday in New York has returned home to Lincolnshire.
Dax Johnston was flown back from America by air ambulance with parents Lee Johnston and Katie Amos on Friday night. Lee and Katie, from Burgh le Marsh, were enjoying a Christmas break in the Big Apple when Dax unexpectedly arrived 11 weeks early. The couple had expected to stay in America until Dax’s due date in March before the air ambulance was chartered to fly them home. Dax is now being looked after at the Pilgrim Hospital Boston and it is hoped he will be able to return home in the next two weeks.
Lee said: “It feels amazing to be back, and a little surreal, it all happened so quickly. We are looking forward to having Dax back home and starting a normal family life.”
