THE MAYOR took to the bracing Skegness seafront to help raise money for his chosen charity.
The sponsored paddle took place on Sunday and was organised by Slimming World Consultant, Maxeen Andrew to raise funds for Mayor Coun Steve Kirk’s charity, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.
The paddle started at 12.30pm and the team of around 20 set off from Tower Esplanade, eventually reached the X-cite Skatepark and were back again by 2.30pm.
Coun Kirk said: “It was a lovely sunny day and it was a great way to raise money for charity. Thanks to everyone who donated and the X-cite Skatepark for their hospitality.”
