Market Rasen's two care homes will be opening their doors this Friday to mark National Care Home Day.

Waterloo House, in the town’s Walesby Road, will
be welcoming visitors from 1-6pm.

The theme is ‘celebration’ and staff have been busy decorating with Union Flags.

Visitors will also be offered sandwiches, cakes - all with toppings relating to the royal family and London - jelly and ice cream, as well as a traditional cuppa.

Over at The Poplars in Chapman Street, they will be welcoming Lincoln City Sports along for games and activities from 10am to noon, followed by pet therapy from 2-3pm.

National Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative to show people what homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of local communities, developing relationships across the generations.
