SPILSBY Town Council believes an ‘element of flexibility is required’ to resolve a long running planning dispute involving an historic building in the centre of town.
The Mayor of Spilsby has announced that the council will be writing to East Lindsey District Council, regarding One Market Street’s upcoming planning application, with the hope of seeing the issue resolved promptly.
He said: “We are sick to the back teeth of this issue dragging on for as long as it has been and everyone in the town would like to see it resolved as soon as possible.”
A planning application relating to the building is due to be considered early next month, however there are fears that conservation requirements for a chimney may cause more delays.
Coun Lenton hoes a flexible approach to the conservation requirements can prevent these delays.
