Miss England contestant Olivia Green is hoping home town support can help her take a step towards securing the title.
Olivia, 18, is looking forward to representing Skegness in the semi-final of the competition on Sunday.
The winner of a public vote will be fast tracked into the Miss England final in August.
Lincolnshire police cadet Olivia secured her place in the semi-final after winning the Miss Skegness title earlier this year.
She has since organised a garden party and champagne reception which raised £860 the Miss England charity Beauty with a Purpose.
Olivia said: “The garden party was held at my nan Joan’s house, it included a raffle, stalls and a competition to guess the weight of my tortoise Freda.”
She added: “I’m really looking forward to representing Skegness in the semi final. I feel excited, but nervous at the same time, competition will be very tough.”
Contestants in the semi-final at Kelham Hall and Country Park near Newark will take part in an interview round and design and make an eco friendly dress.
Ten of the 63 entrants, including the winner of the public vote, will go through to the final in August.
