Skegness RNLI has issued a plea to visitors to take care after there were nine deaths in stormy seas around British coasts over the weekend.
A spokesman said: “The stormy weather this weekend has brought tragedy to several families as nine loved ones have lost their lives on our coasts.
“Our thoughts are with those affected.
“We would urge everyone thinking of visiting the seaside to read our advice on being as safe as possible when near or in the sea. Please make every effort to be as safe as possible. Lifeguards are now patrolling over 230 beaches around the country, please stay safe and #respectthewater”
