New Burgh village youth group meets at church

IMPACT - The new youth group for ages 10 to 14 years runs each Monday at Burgh Baptist Church from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Young people can just chill out with their friends over refreshments, enjoy games including pool and table tennis, or take part in discussions and chats.

Subs are 50p, and all young people of appropriate age are welcome to come along and check it out.

TENPIN BOWLING - The Men’s Contact Group of Burgh Baptist Church will be striking out for a night of tenpin bowling at The Pier in Skegness on Friday, May 4, at 7pm.

The bowling will be followed by a fish and chips supper at the White Hart in Burgh le Marsh.

KINGS CLUB - Children from reception to year five can enjoy a lively time of crafts, games, songs and more at this popular club which meets at Burgh Baptist Church on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm. Parents are welcome to enjoy tea and coffee and see what the children have been up to upon arrival to collect their little ones. Kings Club resumes after the holidays. PHOENIX GROUP - The Phoenix Group offers support and friendship for those facing loneliness from bereavement, divorce or other circumstances, and prayer is available if desired.

The group also enjoy outings to various venues and guest speakers from time to time. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 10.30am to noon at Burgh Baptist Church.

LINE DANCING - All are welcome to join in the footwork, friendship and fun on offer during the regular line dancing sessions on Wednesdays at 2pm in Burgh Baptist Church. The group is very informal and encourages people of all abilities to step on up and give it a try. For more details contact Margaret on 01754 810081.

DEBT HELP - The trained advisers at Burgh Community Debt Advice Centre can see you by appointment and in strictest confidence, to give free advice and practical assistance with tackling debt and managing finances.

NURSING DROP-IN - The Parish Nursing Drop-In at Burgh Baptist Church is held on Fridays from 10am to 11.45am. All are welcome to pop in for a check up, support or prayer with nurse Mandy and the team (no appointment necessary), or just to enjoy a chat over coffee and scrummy scones.

ANGELS - The Little Angels will meet in the parish church of St Peter and Paul next Wednesday May 2 at 2pm

GROUP - There will be a Burgh Group of parishes Group Sung Eucharist at St Martins church Welton this Sunday April 29 at 9.30am.

MOTHERS - The Mothers Union will meet on Wednesday, May 9, at 2pm in the choir vestry of the parish church of St Peter and and Paul.

TWINNING - The Twinning Association will meet this Saturday, April 28, at 10am in the council chamber to finalise arrangements for the forthcoming visit by friends from Beaumont-sur-Sarthe. The visit is planned to take place from May 17 to 20.

WI - Burgh WI will meet in the WI Hall next Wednesday, May 2, at 7pm.
