Tom McGuinness, Paul Jones and Mike Hugg will be joined by Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie for the Makin’ Tracks Tour.

Manfred Mann formed in 1964, and had three British number one hits and two in America.

The band split up, and reformed in 1991.

Tom McGuinness told The Standard they played on his fiftieth, and enjoyed it so much they have been playing ever since.

They have since played gigs across the world in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Their gig in Skegness is part of a run of UK dates this month.

They do between 60 and 65 dates per year, as Tom said: “It’s fresh for us and fresh for the audience.”

On what he enjoys about being in the band Tom told The Standard it was playing live.

“Playing live is just being in the moment.”

Audiences can expect hits including Do Wah Diddy Diddy Diddy, as well as album tracks.

Tom McGuinness said: “I’m just looking forward to playing in Skegness.”

Music starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £22.50 for adults and £10 for children, available from: www.embassytheatre.co.uk
