A missing mother from Nottingham could be in Skegness due to having links in the area and those close are desperately searching for answers.

All are urged to report any possible sightings of Elaine Harrison, 59, who went missing from her houseboat on Monday, December 9 by Nottingham Police and her family.

Family friend Lynette Scott, is upping the ante with the search and believes that Elaine could have travelled to Skegness via train due to having friends in the area.

Police are also asking Christmas shoppers to keep a lookout for Elaine as the search continues.

Elaine is thought to have left her houseboat moored at Castle Marina, Nottingham at around 3pm, and was last seen walking past Sainsbury’s petrol station towards Queen’s Drive, Nottingham, at 3.45pm.

A scarf believed to belong to Ms Harrison was found in the area around Notts County Football Club on Wednesday evening (December, 11 2013) but enquires about her whereabouts are not being limited to this area.

Ms Harrison was last seen wearing dark bottoms, white trainers and a grey fleece with a cream fur trim. She also wears silver framed glasses.

Nottingham Police Sergeant Vanessa Wake said: “Elaine is a creature of habit and this is very out of character for her. If you are out there Elaine, please let us know that you are safe.”
