Lincs2ADVICE information service launched

With help from National Lottery funding, Lincolnshire residents can now access advice, information and support agencies from across the County in one place from a new service called Lincs2Advice.

The free, impartial and confidential service, which can be accessed by telephone or website, will help residents to find the best placed advice provider quickly and

easily and can assist with a diverse range of issues from health and care through to money and work.

The new service has been operational since June 1.

More than 200 organisations from across the County including Citizens Advice Bureau, Age UK and Lincolnshire Credit Union are working together in partnership to support people looking for help.

By sharing information, residents can find out who can help them in one place rather than going round the houses said a service spokesperson and the service can assist with everything from debt and benefits through to volunteering and health support.

To access the service, visit or telephone the Lincs2Advice team of specially trained coordinators on 0844 257 0042.

Lincs2Advice also offers a free ‘Helping you Manage your Money’ service for individuals across the County.

The service which is open to every one, will help identify areas where money could be saved such as energy and debt payments, tips on coping on tight budgets, saving ideas and advice on what bills should be paid as a priority.

Telephone the Lincs2Advice team to make an appointment or to see an advisor in your local area.

Calls to the national phone service 0844 257 0042 will be charged at five pence per minute from a BT landline and may cost considerably more from mobile and other phones.

The service does not make a profit from the costs of calling the telephone services.

Mobile phone users should call 0300 303 8789 and calls cost no more than calls to geographic (01 and 02) numbers and calls from mobiles typically cost between 10p and 40p per minute.

If you are unsure what your tariff is check with your provider.

Calls to 0300 numbers from landlines and mobiles are included in free call packages.
