SOCIAL groups, organisations and individuals based in Wainfleet are invited to raise suggestions as to how the town could celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Wainfleet Community Hall Committee is hosting an informal meeting in the hall at 6pm this Friday, March 9.
Committee chairman Sarah Scupholm hopes the evening will generate many positive ideas to ensure the illustrious occasion is as memorable as possible for every generation.
She said: “I would like to think there will be a very nice atmosphere celebrating what for most of us will be a once in a lifetime experience.”
The committee has taken the responsibility for organising the momentous occasion after learning that Wainfleet Town Council had made no plans of its own to celebrate the event.
Mrs Scupholm believes the council will be supportive of ideas raised by the committee and hopes it will help to fund whatever event is decided upon.
If you cannot attend the event but have an idea contact Mrs Scupholm on 01754 880345.
