FORMER cashier John Henry Cussons has died at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, aged 79.
Mr Cussons, who was born in Huttoft and lived in the Skegness area all his life, leaves wife Doreen, son Trevor, daughter Sue, son-in-law Pete, daughter-in-law Fay, sister Edna and brother-in-law Bill.
He also leaves grandchildren Claire, Lynette, Katie, Stephen and Robert, and great grandchildren Lottie, Melissa, Lilly-Mia, Ryan and Oliver.
Mr Cussons worked at Bateman’s and East Lindsey District Council as a cashier until retirement.
A keen sportsman, he played football for Skegness Town in his early years, and played bowls for Skegness Town and Working Men’s Club.
He also played crib and pool for the Working Men’s Club.
He was president of the club for 12 years, and also a member of the New Park Club.
The funeral service, conducted by the Rev Christine Anderson, was held at St Mary’s Church, Winthorpe.
Family mourners: wife Doreen, son and daughter-in-law Trevor and Fay Cussons, daughter and son-in-law Sue and Pete Holland, granddaughter and partner Claire and Andy, granddaughter Lynette, granddaughter and husband Katie and Ben, grandson and partner Stephen and Kirsty, grandson Robert, great grandchildren Lottie, Melissa, Lilly-Mia, Ryan and Oliver, and nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral directors were Skegness and District Funeral Services.
