Ingoldmells council okays Butlins pool

INGOLDMELLS Parish Councillors have given their unanimous support to plans for a major revamp of Butlins’ indoor swimming pool area.

The holiday park recently announced plans to extend and alter its swimming pool building, which would see the created of a 28-metre tall flume tower, and installation of five water flume slides.

The plans will also provide an additional children’s pool and water features, see the removal of existing internal flumes and the refurbishment of the external pool area.

The proposal to accept the application was made by Coun S. Chambers, seconded by Coun E. Gasson and unaimously passed by those present.

Meanwhile, plans by Fantasy Island to convert a single infoor market stall to changing facilities and office space for a proposed splash zone were approved unanimously.
