Horse rescued after becoming trapped in a ditch at Sibsey

Firefighters were called to the rescue of a horse that had become trapped in a drain at Sibsey.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out 10:32am on Tuesday to Northlands, Sibsey, to help rescue the horse.

Crews from Boston, Spalding and Grantham attended Northlands, Sibsey, after the horse was spooked into Mill Drain.

The crews used strops and their own manpower, and were assisted by a farmer to dig the drain bank out to release horse, who was uninjured
