Help fundraisers tackle glasswalking feat

What's on.
What's on.

It takes a lot of bottle to walk barefoot on broken glass, but that is what a group hardy soles are planning and it’s all for charity.

The team of fearless fundraisers are taking up the challenge at The Lumley Bar in Skegness town centre on Friday (February 27).

It’s all being done on behalf of the Little Heroes Cancer Trust with support on the night greatly appreciated.

Organiser Dionne Shore is aiming to raise about £1,500 for the charity, which helps children suffering with cancer.

Dionne, who works as a supervisor at The Lumley, said: “We will be walking on 400 broken glass bottles and have had no training so are all getting a bit nervous. There will be a motivational talk beforehand to get us in the right frame of mind.”

Mum of three Dionne, 37, will be joined by other staff members from The Lumley, The Red Lion pub and Alisons clothing store.

Cash will be collected on the night, which starts 7.30pm, and includes a raffle and entertainment.
