An inspirational Skegness woman who has battled a potentially life-threatening brain tumour, is set to hold a tombola stall to boost funds for the same charity she will raise money for when she takes part in the London Marathon next month.

Carol Silverwood, founding member of Skegness’s newest running club, The Savona Striders, will host the stall on Saturday, April 6, from 9am, outside Beales Department Store, Lumley Road, to raise money for the charity Children with Cancer.

Carol will also join thousands of other competitors on April 21 for the marathon, and a lot of support during her training has been provided by her fellow Strider members. To support Carol and the charity, pop down on the day or visit
