Hospital Watch expresses thanks

SKEGNESS Hospital Watch has expressed thanks for the support it received raising funds for life saving diagnostic equipment and requested for that to continue.

Campaign manager Geoff Poulter announced to councillors that the £42,000 needed to purchase two blood testing machines for Skegness Hospital had been raised at a Skegness Town Council Meeting on Wednesday.

He thanked councillors for their support but explained that the group required a further £5,000 each year to maintain the equipment, which can detect the early onset of numerous life-threatening conditions.

He said: “It’s been an uphill struggle but we need to carry on with that struggle raising money for our much loved little hospital.”
