Skegness Running Club is offering a beginners’ course giving a more in-depth version of the “Couch to 5k” fitness regime.
The 10-week course starts from Friday, February 26, at the Crown Hotel, in Drummond Road.
The club’s Sarah Burton said: “Those with no running experience will be introduced slowly into running. The beginners’ course offered by the club’s trained running leaders will be able to give advice on injury prevention, nutrition, clothing and footwear. Group sizes are limited to 15 people so everyone benefits from the help and advice available.
“Our courses are fun and motivational. I went from doing nothing to comfortably running eight miles in just over six months training. I’ve met some great new friends, lost weight and am fitter than I have been in a long time. I didn’t think I’d be saying that at 50 years old.”
