Free training in adult care skills

Free training is on offer to equip people with the skills necessary to promote the wellbeing of adults and protect them from abuse.

The training – offered by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) – is particularly targeted at anyone who cares for adults, especially in a charity or voluntary group.

Marie Chapman, from LCVS, said: “Whether you’re a carer, a volunteer or paid worker, the courses can help you find out more about how to promote people’s wellbeing and protect them from harm or abuse.”

Participants are advised to attend an introductory course before completing the full day session.

A half-day introductory course takes place at The Storehouse, North Parade, Skegness, on Tuesday, December 15, from 10am to noon.

A full day follow-up session takes place at the same location on Tuesday, February 9, from 10am.
