Breast cancer patients at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston are benefiting from a generous donation.
A total of £1,100 was raised at a music event called ‘Rockdown’ held at Swineshead and involved the band ‘Emporium’, who played for free.
The money was split between the Breast Unit and Breakthrough Breast Cancer and will be used to purchase equipment and help towards staff training at the Boston Breast Unit.
Breast Unit secretary Cheryl Drayton said: “We would like to express our gratitude to our patient, Sarah Walker, who put so much effort into organising the event.”
“After the success of this year’s event, there are already plans in place to hold a similar event the coming year,” she added.
