THE NHS has called on locals to help it boost its stock of blood supplies ahead of the winter months.
Potential donors are being asked to remember to book an appointment to give blood now at their local session if they are eligible to do so. First time blood donors are also always welcome.
Holly Mason, Lead Donor Relations Manager said: “The demand for blood never stops.”
“Setember is also the start of the coughs and colds season and to ensure we are able to maintain blood supplies to hospitals it is important that blood donors continue to come forward and donate.” For details of sessions in your area or to book an appointment call 0300 123 23 23 or visit www.blood.co.uk.
