Twenty-four-hour security has been taken out in a bid to stop travellers setting up in car parks in Skegness.

East Lindsey District Council said it was aware of rumours that travellers could be coming to the town over the Bank Holiday.

And in response a spokesman has confirmed: “We have brought in a 24/7 security presence on our foreshore car parks, including Tower Esplanade, to help reduce the risk of further unlawful occupation.”
