GCSE success for Skegness Academy pupils

Pupils at the Skegness Academy are celebrating after receiving their results for their GCSE or equivalent courses of study.

Some pupils have particular cause to celebrate:

Dzenifer Olah who achieved two A* grades, four A grades, one B grade and one C grade at GCSE and a Merit in a BTEC Construction course.

James Scully achieved one A* grade, four B grades and one C grade at GCSE and a Merit in a BTEC Business Studies course.

Kaylee England who achieved three A grades, three B grades and one C grade at GCSE and a Merit in a BTEC Business Studies course.

Joshua Oldershaw who achieved three A grades and two B grades at GCSE, a Distinction* in a BTEC Business course and a Distinction in a BTEC ICT course.

Lauren Packer who achieved one A grade and six B grades at GCSE and a Distinction in a BTEC Business Studies course.

Chelsea Carter who achieved five B grades and one C grade at GCSE and a Distinction* in a BTEC Art & Design course.

Craig Brunie who achieved three B grades and three C grades at GCSE and a Pass in a BTEC Business Studies course.

Ben Rowlinson who achieved three A grades, one B grade and one C grade at GCSE, a Distinction* in a BTEC Business Studies course and a Merit in a BTEC ICT course.

Ben attributed who attributed his success to working hard and staying focussed in lessons and will be returing to the Academy to study Maths and science A levels.

He said: “I was really pleased to get an A in Maths, it has been hard to forget about the results and nearer the time I was panicking.”

Acting principal, Elizabeth Silvester, said: “We would like to thank pupils for their hard work and commitment and wish them every success as they continue their education or enter trainingor employment.”
