A popular garage sale trail returns to the region this Sunday offering bargain hunters a chance to pick up some unusual items while also raising much needed church funds.
The sale begins at St Peter and St Paul Church Room, Bratoft from 10am, where maps to well over 20 garage sales around the Irby and Burgh area will be handed out.
Event organiser Robin Cram says the event is beneficial for both sellers and buyers and attracts hundreds of visitors from near and far.
He said: “Although many ‘car boot sales’ are held in various places there are many valuable items that will not be offered for sale as the owner is unable or unwilling to transport that amount, size or weight of items to a field often many miles away from their home. “
Robin says the garage sale is ‘free from such restrictions’ and offers its visors a’ free day out in the beautiful countryside’ while picking up some great bargains.”
Toilet facilities and refreshments will be available at St Peter and St Paul’s Church throughout the event, which runs until 2pm. The church will also benefit from funds raised on the day.
